1. I am thin built, non-diabetic person. My
father had heart attack at the age of 46 yrs.
He had high cholesterol level. What precaution
should I take to prevent heart attack?
I was diagnosed to have high blood pressure
two years ago. I was started on Atenolol 25
mg. My blood pressure is constantly under control.
Can I stop the drug?
I had heart attack 3 month ago. Since then
I do not have any symptoms. I walk 3 Km / day.
My doctor is advising me to undergo coronary
angiography. Do I really need it, especially
when I do not have any symptom?
I was a chronic smoker. I started getting chest
pain on exertion. TMT was done and reported
as positive. I was started on drugs and since
then I do not have any symptoms. Doctor advised
me to leave smoking completely. I can’t
live without smoking. Can I smoke 1 or 2 cigarettes

I started having chest pain and breathing difficulty
on walking briskly & climbing stairs. My
angiography has shown blockade in two arteries
(LAD proximal 99% stenosis & LCx 75% stenosis).
I was advised to go for Bypass Surgery. I consulted
another Cardiologist, who has advised for stenting.
Now I am in a dilemma. What I should choose,
bypass surgery or stenting?
